How To Get Prospects To Approach You

Do you get just a little sick every time someone tells you no?  Are you tired of chasing people down to get them to come to your home based business meetings?  How about we turn you into the one being sought out instead of the seeker?

With today’s technology, we can do this in a big way.  There are a lot of ways we can do this using the Internet.  To be effective online we want to begin by creating the lead and to do that we must learn to become skillful at 2 things:

  • Ad Copy (using the written word in an advertisement)
  • Driving traffic to a website (not just any traffic will do, it has to be “targeted” traffic)

When you combine these two things, you will suddenly be the the one that people are coming to for answers.  No more chasing people down.  Your confidence will increase and so will your MLM sales.

You Have To Be Good At 2 Things

When I said that you have to be skilled at these two things, that is because they work together.  You can have the best Ads and the best landing page in the world but if you can’t drive targeted prospects to it, it won’t make a difference.  And if you can drive tons of interested prospects to your site but the message they see isn’t what they were looking for, they will leave faster than they came.  The result will be NO LEADS for you.

What is Good Ad Copy

Whenever you want to create powerful and effective marketing communications (ads, squeeze pages, emails, etc.) you want to keep in mind the acronym AIDA.

  • Attention- Good ad copy will grab your target market’s attention right away usually with a headline.
  • Interest- If the headline is good; your prospect will likely want to continue reading.  Now you want to isolate your prospect’s want, need, fear, problem or concern and then…
  • Desire- Make your prospect want what you have and take…
  • Action- Get them to leave their information.

Everything starts with the lead.  It doesn’t matter is you are buying leads from a lead broker or creating your own leads, everything you do from business standpoint begins with your leads.  This is your database.  Guard it; protect it, because it will be a goldmine when you use it correctly.

Leads will turn into sales, sales will turn into distributors, distributors will turn into even more distributors, and more distributors will turn into larger commission checks for you.  How do you get more leads?

More Traffic = More Leads

You really can’t have TOO much traffic going to your website.  The good news is that there are more than a few options available to you when it comes to driving traffic to your website.  But they can be broken down into 2 categories:

Free Traffic and Paid Traffic

Free website traffic can be broken down into:

  • Article Marketing
  • Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc)
  • Blogs
  • Press Releases
  • Social Bookmarking (Digg, Stumble Upon, Delicious, etc.)

Paid website traffic can be broken down into:

  • Pay Per Click
  • Ezine Advertising
  • Banners

If you have more time than money, then you may want to use the free traffic methods.  Just be aware that it takes a lot of work, and time.  Traffic won’t happen overnight.  If you want things to happen quicker, then you may want to consider using the paid traffic methods.

Frankly, I’m a fan of using both methods.  I use PPC because I can track my results and make changes based on what I see.  I can track how well, or not well, things are going at the keyword level and based on what I see, I can change the message on my landing pages, remove keywords, adjust keyword bid prices, or a whole slue of other options.  PPC is great for testing because it can bring in large amounts of traffic in a short amount of time.  However, I also use blogs, social media, article marketing, and a few others.  I don’t rely on just one source for all of my traffic and neither should you.

Take at look at your situation, do you have more time than money, then you may want to consider using the no cost methods.  If you want things to happen right away, then open your wallet.   A word of caution: if you don’t have a good foundation (skill set) already in place, I wouldn’t recommend that you get on the Internet just yet.  I can understand if you want to make things happen right away but it really isn’t a good idea to do that without knowing what you are doing and why you are doing it.  It really is a good idea to know what works, why it works, and how it works.
