I would like to be able to recommend this book for every network marketer but I can’t. I think this book is only good for those that are new to multi-level marketing. The book is great at promoting going to hotel meetings along with doing lots of small in-home presentations. These techniques can be great for the newbies but I thought that it was lacking a little when it came to using the telephone.
For for the new network marketers that aren’t that confident with using the telephone, this is a great book to invest in. How To Build A Multi-Level Money Machine is great for the beginner network marketer because it focuses on what you can do now and the how to do it, to ensure your own success as a network marketing professional.
The system that Randy promotes make sense and is easy for anyone to follow.
How To Build A Multi-Level Money Machine is conversational and highly practical, with sound advice on selecting a network marketing company, getting off to a fast start, and growing your home based business big. Randy also emphasizes the importance of duplication in building a secure network that will produce ongoing residual income. What I like best about this book is that Randy shares the mistakes he made on his road to success in multi-level marketing, he is clearly a veteran of the network marketing trenches and I always like to avoid the mistakes that others have made.
What I don’t like is that Randy Gage has you selling the opportunity vs selling the product. I prefer to sell the product and then get the business builders from those that purchase the product. That being said, he does at least point out that everyone that you talk to WON’t be interested in your opportunity.
He also has you talking to your friends, neighbors, and relatives. It is the natural place to start growing your business and if you let the leaders in your organization be the expert, you will probably sign up a few people using these methods.
Really this book is great for people just getting started in network marketing. It’s not for those that have experience. It’s a good place to start and you will learn with his system how to work yourself up to giving your own presentations. Giving your own presentations is a key to making more money with your home based business.

I remember reading a book when I was around 12 years old about how to cure yourself of disease simply by using visualization. Of course at the time my life was in complete turmoil and I was reading anything I could just to escape from what was the reality of my life. But I digress, the point is, can you really…
Change your life simply by using your mind?
If you are in network marketing, then you have probably read “Think And Grow Rich”by Nepoleon Hill. If you haven’t, I suggest that you get it (just click on the link and you will be “transported” to Amazon) it really is a must have. Seriously, I have it and I have read it many times. I keep going back to it because I will come to a point in my life or business, where something that I saw in the book will finally pertain to what it is I am doing and the light bulb finally comes on.
Well there I go getting off of the subject again.
So, I have been studying on this subject for most of my life and I was having a real problem with visualization. I struggled with trying to form a “picture” with my mind of what I wanted to happen in my life and business. The problem was that I had all kinds of experience at failing with my network marketing business but very little success. I was able to figure out what I was doing wrong with my home based business and turn that around but to visualize “success” was very difficult. I think that was because the pain of failure was so deep. No one likes to feel like a failure and here I was a person with a business degree and I couldn’t get my home based business off of the ground.
How I Got Rid Of My “Stinking” Thinking
Here is what I do know without a doubt. If you keep thinking that you will fail at something, guess what, you will! How did I get rid of my bad thoughts?
First, I had to recognize where these thoughts were coming from. For me, I felt like I should have been able to achieve a substantial income from home with my home based business. There were plenty of others in my network marketing company that were doing just that and I was working harder at it than they suggested.
Next, I had to analize what the real situation was. I wasn’t dumb, even though I felt like it. I wasn’t getting in my own way, as my leaders suggested. What was really going on was that I didn’t know how to market a MLM business.
Finally, I had to get a real solution to the problem. If the problem was that I didn’t know howto do something, then it became pretty easy. Either I find a different carrear or I get the right education to do a home based business. That’s how I got rid of my stinking thinking.
How I Learned To Use My Mind To Get Everything I Wanted 
Okay, I am finally to the real purpose of this post, that is to tell you about the “The New Master Key System” by Charles Haanel. This book was originally created in 1912 but like “Think And Grow Rich” the content is timeless. From what I have read it is supposed to be one of the books that inspired the bestselling DVD and book The Secret.
How does “The Master Key System” teach you how to get everything you want? It shows you that everything that is around us is energy and can be created by thoughts. Our thoughts are powerful tool and just like any tool you have to know how to use it to get it to do what you want it to do. Once you can control your thoughts, you can change them to get whatever you want out of life or business.
“The New Master Key System” has been revised for the 21st Century but is set up like the original version. Each chapter is designed to be a lesson that helps you to train your thoughts, your mental skills. This book is designed to be read at a very slow pace. You really have to take your time. What I did was to take one chapter at a time and read it every night for a week before I went to sleep at night. The chapters are short and can be read in a short amount of time. But by reading the same chapter for a week, I was able to really soak up the contents before moving to the next chapter.
